Artyce Custom Footwear
“The Personal Touch”
Whether planning her wedding, birthday party or as the hostess of an extraordinary special event, there’s one thing every woman who finds herself the center of attention wants: she wants to look fabulous! Today’s fashionistas know that impeccable styling doesn’t stop with the perfect dress or the perfect hair. And, as we learned from Artyce Custom Footwear designer and founder Candra Palmer, looking fabulous can oftentimes begin with the perfect shoe!
When we sat down with Candra Palmer, she simply stated a universal truth that every woman knows: “You can’t be fabulous if you walk into a room and someone else is wearing what you have on.” This uniquely fabulous philosophy is the guiding principle at Artyce Custom Footwear. The proof is in the pudding. Artyce designs have been featured in bridal, fashion and lifestyle magazines all over the world; and selections from their Bridal Collection can currently be seen on WE tv’s femme-favorite show “My Fair Wedding.”
Founded in Los Angeles in 2004, Artyce Custom Footwear is a “design it yourself” footwear collection that caters to women of all ages. Specializing in bridal and special occasion footwear, Artyce Custom Footwear has mastered the art of creating “special dream shoes for every woman’s dream day.”
Artyce designer and owner Candra Palmer credits her seamstress mother (the brand’s namesake) for instilling the values of superior quality and craftsmanship in her at an early age. And, as a young woman who was “raised in a shopping household,” she cultivated her own chic style and appreciation for personalized fashion by shopping at boutiques in her native Chicago.
After graduating from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Palmer worked in sales and marketing before relocating to Los Angeles in 2001. An internship at a fashion agency where she worked with A-listers like Halle Berry and Usher offered her the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of fashion, consulting and client service. After a 2-year hands-on crash course detailing every aspect of the fashion design industry– from manufacturing to retail-Candra instinctively knew the time was right for launching a line of her own.
Artyce Custom Footwear combines Candra Palmer’s keen business savvy with her impeccable fashion sense. A deep commitment to client service and versatile, quality products are signature attributes of the brand. The “design-it-yourself” component distinguishes Artyce from other high-end footwear collections by offering clients a chance to participate in the conceptualization of their personal dream creation.
“Most women want something that you can’t find everywhere,” Palmer stated. “There’s a shoe story for every client – who she is, where she is, and where she wants to be.”
When clients enter the Artyce showroom, stylists immediately work to educate clients about the various elements of shoe design, and provide specialized, personal client service by offering clients options based on their specific tastes and needs.
“We are self-taught shoe designers. We consider every aspect of what a client is looking for – from technique to styling-and we focus on bringing all of these elements together,” Palmer said.
Details like Swarovski crystal, fine leather, and customizations such as engraving significant dates and names into each shoe are evidence of the exceptional quality and creativity of the Artyce Custom Footwear collection. Enhancements like the four millimeter comfort pad inserted into each shoe guarantee that Artyce clients won’t just look fabulous, but they will feel fabulous, as well.
Although the company is physically based in Los Angeles, thanks to the latest technology, clients from all over the world are now enjoying the Artyce Custom Footwear experience through online chats with stylists, and virtual visits via Skype that transport clients into their showroom via the internet. Stateside, Artyce Custom Footwear is proud to announce that a new showroom in the Houston, Texas area will be opening soon.
