MR. RIGHT: LOGAN COFFEY

If you find the combination of Southern Charm and Hollywood sex appeal as irresistible as we do, then this month’s Mr. Right is right up your alley. Check out our Q&A with rising star Logan Coffey today!
WILES: How did you get started in the entertainment business?
LOGAN: I went to school for acting in Georgia and then headed to LA after graduating. I always had a passion for film and tv, so it just always seemed to be what I would end up doing.
WILES: When did you feel like this would be your career path?
LOGAN: Growing up, I always liked to entertain others and make people laugh. That love of performance pushed me to study performing arts in school. After that first gig, being on set felt so alive, so I knew I was hooked.
WILES: What has been your biggest role to date?
LOGAN: As I continue to build my resume, I’ve had some costar roles on some big network shows. However, I got to play a pretty big central character in a horror indie, D-Railed, and that was a blast!
WILES: Tell me more about that particular production and where it was shot?
LOGAN: We shot that in two weeks both in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Due to the script, we had numerous night shoots, where we would work till 6 am or 7 am. We became a little family!
WILES: What inspires you to keep going in an extremely competitive business?
LOGAN: I think the excitement of the payoff is what keeps me in it. Getting that job, that next big role is everything. Also, when you’re auditioning as a different character every week, it keeps you on your toes. The creativity of acting is so much fun, we get to create full-fledged human beings out of thin air.
WILES: What person (or people) made an impact on you in your career?
LOGAN: Definitely, some of my professors and acting coaches I’ve had over the years have all helped me get this far. I’m also very close with my family, so without them, there would be no way I could have even started this, especially the idea of moving across the country.
WILES: What do you enjoy most when you are not working in front of the camera?
LOGAN: Fitness and staying active are always my go too. Luckily, in California, you have so much access to beaches and mountains that you could do a new hike or something adventurous practically every weekend.
WILES: What do you have coming up next?
LOGAN: I just had a holiday film, ‘Middleton Christmas’ release last week. It’s streaming on Amazon. Perfect for this time of year! I also have another film I shot a while back, ‘Gym Rat’. It’s a thriller that was planning on doing the film festival circuits this year, but with COVID, they are holding off until next year.
WILES: What advice do you have for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
LOGAN: For anyone wanting to start out, I’d remind them that it’s a marathon, not a sprint. This industry tests you often, and there is so much rejection. The craft has to be your motivation, not the success or results, at least not in the beginning. However, I’m a big believer that if you see it for yourself, it’s meant for you.
