The music of the iHeartRadio app’s popular iHeart80s Radio station will once again come to life with live performances from New Kids on the Block, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey, Colin Hay of Men At Work, Rick Astley, Starship, Eddie Money and Night Ranger.

“The music of the 80’s defined a generation in America three decades ago — and it’s still driving pop culture today,” said John Sykes, President of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises. “Last year’s iHeart80s Party sold out in minutes, showing the enduring popularity of 80s artists and their music.”

The 2016 inaugural event in Los Angeles was hosted by Martha Quinn and featured live performances from some of the decade’s biggest music superstars, including Tears For Fears, Culture Club, Billy Idol, Missing Persons, Rick Springfield and Loverboy. The 2016 iHeart80s Party also included special guest presenters Corey Feldman, Kris Jenner, Michael Winslow, Harry Hamlin, iJustine, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jordan Fisher, Serayah, Mario Lopez and more.

The 80’s ranks as one of the most important American decades in terms of influencing today’s pop culture, and Millennials, 44 million of whom were born in the ’80s, are increasingly rediscovering the decade. Following the major success of the first iHeart80s Party, which sold out in minutes, iHeartMedia launched iHeart80s in San Francisco in June 2016, a broadcast extension of the popular iHeart80s station on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one streaming music and live digital radio service.  The 80s-dedicated broadcast station features music from the decade and iconic MTV personality Martha Quinn as the host of its weekday morning show.

“Launching iHeart80s on one of our FM stations in San Francisco makes the Bay Area the ideal place to host this year’s show,” said Tom Poleman, President of National Programming Group for iHeartMedia. “This year’s incredible roster of performers is a perfect example of why the ‘80s remain so popular, and we can’t wait to bring the iHeart80s Party to the Bay Area in 2017.”

The iHeart80s Party is part of iHeartMedia’s incredibly successful roster of major concert events, which includes the iHeartRadio Music Festival, which features more than 20 A-list artists across every music genre converging in Vegas for two nights, on one stage; the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party; the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina; the nationwide iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Concert Tour; the iHeartCountry Festival; and the nationally televised iHeartRadio Music Awards, which this year generated 115 billion social media impressions.
