Recent Golden Globe nominee and platinum recording artist, Hailee Steinfeld, has been named the new face of the REEF® Escape sandal collection. The bold new women’s collection is for the rebellious yet refined woman who embraces living in the moment, but also appreciates both style and comfort.

Reef Escape takes rubber sandals to a new level of quality and comfort. Escape sandals feature anatomical footbeds with arch support, superior strap and toe post strength to prevent “blow-outs,” comfortable matte lining to reduce rubbing, and are made from PVC-free materials. From unpredictable moments of the everyday, to running wild on the beach or sneaking in the side-door—the Reef Escape collection is up for anything.

Hailee shot the REEF Escape campaign at Milk Studios in Los Angeles with celebrity and fashion photographer Yu Tsai. Tsai is globally recognized for his work with international editorial campaigns, major network productions, and his top tier celebrity client list.

“We wanted to bring REEF Escape to life in a studio setting,” says Tait Hawes, Creative Director at REEF. “With the help of Yu Tsai and his team, we built a three-dimensional world for Hailee with bold graphic geometric shapes, banana leaf prints, oak tones, big succulents and a scarlet macaw. It all came together to tell the story that expresses the spontaneity, sophistication, adventure and fun that is REEF Escape.”

Inspired by vintage California, REEF Escape offers simple, neutral colors juxtaposed with bold, unpredictable prints to fit any occasion designed with sophisticated fun in mind.  Embodying adventure and practicality, the dual nature of REEF Escape SS17 is not dissimilar from Steinfeld’s unique ability to tackle both dramatic acting roles and a burgeoning career in pop music.

The SS17 collection comes in a flavorful palette of lime, raspberry, sun-kissed tones, and timeless marble stone prints. “I love the REEF Escape collection because they are cute, comfortable and fun to pair with different outfits,” says Steinfeld. “Mixing California beach style with my personal style shows just how versatile these sandals are.” Among her favorites are the geometric prints, champagne, blush, and nudes that match her skin tone.
