There’s a thin line between attitude and confidence and Russell Westbrook’s style reflects both. Driven by excellence and inspired by his family, Russell’s narrative is relatable as it is legendary. Once again, True Religion and Russell Westbrook team up for his most progressive and versatile collection to date.  Serving as designer, his Fall 2016 collection features 17-pieces consisting of denim, knits, tees, thermals and accessories that reflect his risk-taking style. The collection represents being your true and authentic self, revealing what inspires you. This can be seen throughout with the layering pieces, quality design details and distressing.  For this capsule collection, True Religion took the opportunity to look deeper into what drives Russell and how he relates to the world around him. His relationship with his father is extremely important to him and they share a bond rooted in confidence and individuality, which reflects True Religion’s heritage.

Most of the garments in the collection are meant to be layered, with particular pieces intentionally designed to have an elongated look, playing with length. Side-zip details and double layered pieces are intended to highlight the focal points of the collection. Pieces include rips, distressing, ergonomic darts and signature TR/RW logo on all garments along with multi-layered pieces and hidden stamps of Russell’s “Why not?” motto.  To celebrate the launch of this collection, True Religion hosted a pop up shop on September 24th from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at the Midtown Art Gallery in Oklahoma City. Exclusive to the pop up, the first 150 people to make a purchase received a custom t-shirt with Russell’s logo in their choice of black, gold, or silver, printed on site.   The collection will be offered exclusively on the True Religion app from September 25th to October 5th, launching in stores and online on October 6th. Few have a chance to see Russell Westbrook as Russell, and this collection offers an inside look into Russell’s personality. The collection will be available at http://www.truereligion.com/russell and True Religion flagship and select stores nationwide.
