Bon Appétit Announces Its 2016

Best New Restaurant Nominees

Looking for a delicious date night destination? Look no further than this:  Bon Appétit has announced its 50 nominees for the Hot 10: America’s Best New Restaurants 2016. The winners will be revealed in the magazine’s upcoming September issue (on newsstands and live on bonappetit.com on August 16). These 50 restaurants represent the best of a year’s worth of eating and drinking. “They define the way we eat in 2016,” says Andrew Knowlton, Bon Appétit‘s deputy editor. Knowlton and senior editor Julia Kramer crisscrossed the country, eating at more than 400 restaurants in search of these standouts. The list of 50 nominees is now available at bonappetit.com/top50.

These places aren’t cookie-cutter. They’re absolutely authentic to the cities where they’re based. We want to recognize restaurants that showcase hard work, genuine hospitality, and delicious food.”

The 50 nominees for the Hot 10: America’s Best New Restaurants 2016 represent Bon Appétit’s biggest digital activation yet on bonappetit.com, an immersive online experience featuring recipes, interactive features, and exclusive video content.

“Every year we want to go bigger and better with the Hot 10 package,” says Carey Polis, editor of bonappetit.com. “For 2016, this means prioritizing the users’ experiences and enhancing visuals. We want people to feel like they intimately know the restaurants, even if they’ve never visited them.”
