KELLY CLARKSON’S BEST DAY EVER

No Fooling – Chevrolet Makes April 1 ‘Best Day Ever’

Surprises large and small elicited smiles, engaged people from all walks of life

An impromptu Kelly Clarkson concert for pregnant women and new moms, opening day tickets to Major League Baseball games across the country, gas cards from NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and more were part of Chevrolet’s Best Day Ever on April 1.

On a day typically associated with surprises of a different sort, Chevrolet recruited partners in sports, entertainment and philanthropy yesterday to perform good surprises – large and small – with people across the country and from all walks of life.

No fooling.

“It was a great day for Chevrolet and the smiles elicited from the surprises proved it was a great day for everyone touched by them,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “April 1 may traditionally be known for pranks, but on Chevrolet’s behalf, it was a day defined by unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime deeds that engaged people on many levels.”

The surprises were streamed at ChevroletBestDayEver.com and tweeted using #bestdayever.

Pregnant women and new mothers attended a luncheon and during the dessert portion, Kelly Clarkson – a new mom herself – surprised them with a private concert with iHeartRadio at The Grove Los Angeles.

“As Chevrolet continues to reach real people by engaging them with unscripted experiences with our latest products, services and retail experience, we’ll continue to surprise them like this, with the hope it will inspire others to perform good surprises,” said Batey.

Chevrolet is saving a showroom surprise for later this year, holding back details on a new product that will round out the brand’s five new-vehicle introductions this year.

The 2016 Volt was introduced in January, while the 2016 Malibu and Spark were introduced this week at the New York International Auto Show. The 2016 Camaro will be revealed at a public event in Detroit, on May 16.
