Harlem Globetrotters Walk the Runway

and Unveil New Uniforms at Fashion Week in New York

Basketball’s greatest innovators, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters, walked the runway today for the first time ever to unveil a 90thanniversary fashion line and commemorative uniforms created by television star and fashion designer Angela Simmons at the annual KIA STYLE360 showcase during New York Fashion Week.

Globetrotters stars Cheese Chisholm, Thunder Law and Smooth Staples modeled the commemorative uniforms created by Simmons, which infuse elements of the team’s rich 90-year history with basketball-inspired swagger.

“As a major influencer in the fashion world, Angela Simmons feels the pulse of the younger generation, as well as our fashionable female demographic,” said Harlem Globetrotters CEO Kurt Schneider. “Our 90th anniversary season is an opportunity to honor our rich history and celebrate the future with our new generation of fans. As a devoted Globetrotters fan herself, Angela has done an amazing job pulling inspiration from our past to influence a new look that will shine at Fashion Week.”
