A Current Affair: Pop Up Vintage Marketplace

The spring edition of A Current Affair: Pop Up Vintage Marketplace took place on April 5th, bringing together over 50 premier vintage retailers and private dealers in the heart of the Downtown LA fashion district. A Current Affair presented a unique opportunity to shop a select assortment of vintage apparel, jewelry, and accessories from the Victorian era through today.

In attendance was Scout Willis, Rumer Willis, Sophia Amoruso, Amber Stevens, China Chow, Alia Shawkat, Minka Sicklinger, Monica Birkenes, Natasha Kahn, Shiva Rose, Todd Oldham and many others! KCRW DJ Marion Hodges provided music and guests were invited to enjoy an open bar sponsored by Peroni.

This show’s host committee included: Ali Hoffman (Refinery29), Allison McNamara (PopSugar), Daisy O’Dell (DJ), Erin Magner (LA Confidential), Jennifer Delonge (Reissued), Laura Eckstein (Angeleno), Laurie Firstenberg (LA><Art), Merle Ginsberg (The Hollywood Reporter), Natalie Alcala (Racked LA), Nikki Pennie (DJ) and Shiva Rose (The Local Rose). Stylist Shirley Kurata also curated 10 looks from throughout the show that were on exhibit and available for purchase.

A portion of the door proceeds benefited No Kill Los Angeles, an initiative of Best Friends Animal Society, bringing together passionate individuals, city shelters and an entire coalition of animal welfare organizations to end the killing of healthy and treatable pets in city shelters in Los Angeles, California, by the year 2017.
