& THE SEARCH FOR THE ULTIMATE GUY

Men’s Health Magazine has partnered with men’s clothing designer Kenneth Cole and department store Macy’s to launch a nationwide search for the “Ultimate Men’s Health Guy.” The search officially began on Saturday, April 12 with a bi-coastal celebration at Macy’s Herald Square in New York and Macy’s Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles.

At the Los Angeles event, E! News Correspondent and Men’s Health Contributor Ali Fedotowsky interviewed potential contestants as to why they believed they deserved the cover spot and challenged them in live health trivia to make them show and prove. Contestants also enjoyed filming a personal video blog, an interactive iPad experience and special giveaways including copies of guy-friendly grilling cookbooks and the May issue of Men’s Health Magazine.

The contest, which celebrates the launch of Kenneth Cole’s newest men’s fragrance, Mankind, was initially launched on March 15 in the April issue of Men’s Health with an open call for entries. The nationwide search has yielded more than 500 entrants that have racked up more than 45,000 votes since the contest began.

The next Ultimate Guy Search event will take place in Houston, TX on June 7th at Macy’s – Memorial City, 900 Memorial City Mall
