From July 31 – August 2, the Windy City played host to one of the biggest and most fabled music festivals in recent memory. Chicago’s famed Grant Park was the scene where acts like Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Eminem, OutkastArctic Monkeys, Betty Who, Nas and many, many more.

Lollapalooza was originally created by Jane’s Addiction front man Perry Farrell as a multi-city farewell tour for the band in 1991. The tour ran for six years and in 2003, it was revived and reincarnated in 2003.

The Festival is also planned with environmental preservation in mind.  Lollapalooza minimizes its environmental impact and works to keep the planet healthy through green initiatives like its Waste Diversion, Rock & Recycle Program and a team of hundreds of on-site volunteers to help spread the message of social responsibility.

Even if you missed the festival, you don’t have to miss out on the music.  You can check out recaps from Lollapalooza as well as select performances on demand at http://www.lollapalooza.com/.
