Sarah Silverman, Craig Robinson and the Nasty Delicious, Bill Burr, and Kumail Nanjiani are set to perform at Hilarity for Charity’s (HFC) 3rd Annual Los Angeles HFC Variety Show, presented by Genworth.  HFC is a movement led by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen to inspire change and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease among the millennial generation. The prom themed event will be held on Friday, October 17th with Mayer Hawthorne as the evening’s house DJ at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. HFC was established as part of the Alzheimer’s Association® and tickets to this prom night themed event may be purchased here.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

After being actively involved in the Alzheimer’s community for the past several years, Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen (along with some amazing friends) created Hilarity for Charity: an awesome, one-of-a-kind, and most importantly, hilarious event to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s among a younger generation. They later established the Hilarity for Charity Fund as part of the Alzheimer’s Association, through which monies raised will be directed to help families struggling with Alzheimer’s care, increase support groups nationwide, and fund cutting edge research.

This year, HFC expanded by launching HFC U, a nationwide program that encourages and supports college groups to throw their very own HFC events. In its inaugural semester, HFC U raised more than $130,000. Additionally, HFC has added events in New York and Montreal, establishing itself as a force in the Alzheimer’s and comedy communities. Since its inception, HFC has generated more than $1.5 million dollars!

”We appreciate Genworth’s dedication to our goal of raising awareness of Alzheimer’s among the Millennial Generation,” said Lauren Miller Rogen. “With 5 million Americans living with the disease and more than 15 million caregivers, Alzheimer’s has an impact across generations and we all need to ‘talk about it’ and engage in the cause.”

Last year’s house party themed Variety Show raised more than $500,000. The evening included a roof-raising concert by The Backstreet Boys, and comedic performances by Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling, Ken Marino, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Billy Eichner, Rob Riggle, John Mulaney, and Garfunkel & Oates. It also drew some of Hollywood’s biggest names and supporters of HFC including Samuel L. Jackson, Jack Black, Hannah Simone, Krysten Ritter, Ike Barinholtz, James Wolk, and more!
