Du Jour Magazine Celebrates Lupita Nyong’o

On the eve of the 71st Golden Globe Awards, DuJour magazine’s Jason Binn, along with Co-Editor in Chief Nicole Vecchiarelli hosted a special event in honor of Lupita Nyong’o, Golden Globe nominee and cover girl of DuJour’s Great Performances issue.

The Herringbone, Mondrian on Sunset Boulevard was the posh setting where VIP guests gathered to catch a glimpse of the beautiful newcomer whose riveting performance in the Golden Globe-nominated film 12 Years A Slave has garnered her a slew of award nominations and, in the words of DuJour Co-Editor Nicole Veccharelli, made her a natural choice to grace the cover of the publication’s Great Performances issue.

“After more than a year of featuring some majorly iconic faces on our cover – Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Robert De Niro, to name a few – it felt right to consider a new faces, someone well on her way to becoming a person of that rank and prestige, and to celebrate the optimism she must feel at this moment in her life.”
