This September, London Fashion Week featured 58 catwalk shows and 15 style presentations in 5 days

Over 120 UK and international emerging and established, ready-to-wear and accessory designers exhibited in The Designer Showrooms at London Fashion Week. Industry giants like  Manolo Blahnik and Smythson joined the official schedule for the first time this season to host presentations, and  Barbara Casasola showed her SS14 collection on the official schedule for the first time.

Three designers, in particular, took our breath away. Take a quick peek at just some of the fabulous fashions we saw!

ORLA KIELY

Conservative berets, simple patterns and knee-high socks punctuate the SS2014 collection by Orla Kiely.  Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Orla studied at the Royal College of Art. Her first job was at Espirit.  She describes her design signatures as
“Colour, pattern and texture with a 60s twist.”

MANOLO BLAHNIKwww.manoloblahnik.com

Always a Wiles favorite, Mr. Blahnik, again, brings his signature luscious design aesthetic to footwear fashion in yet another collection that is certain to stun.

With a career spanning over 30 years, Manolo Blahnik has become one of the world’s most influential footwear designers. His shoes have spellbound an international set of adoring and loyal devotees across the globe. On a visit to New York in 1970, he showed his theatre designs to Diana Vreeland, then editor-in-chief of American Vogue, who honed in on his shoes and encouraged him to concentrate on them. Blahnik learnt the art of making shoes by visiting factories where he talked to machine operators, pattern cutters and technicians. By 1971, he was in London making shoes.

A year later, Ossie Clark, then the most famous designer in London, used his shoes and from there his career blossomed.
