WILES ON THE TOWN: HOLIDAY COLLECTIONS

CHEMLINE SUSTAINABLE APPAREL

At the beginning of the holiday season, Wiles had the privilege of attending a holiday collection preview at the Chemline Sustainable boutique where four eco-sustainable brands were showcased. Hosted by Chemline Creative Director Averi Bell, the evening featured wonderful wine, divine delicacies, and looks from designers Tiffany Kunz, ISM Mode, Titania Inglis, Lavuk and, of course, Chemline.

“Chemline creates designer women’s apparel that not only documents fashion’s grand past but also its dreams for the future,” Averi told us.

With a nod to classic feminine silhouettes and detailed craftsmanship, the Chemline collection utilizes organic, recycled and sustainable textiles to minimize its environmental impact and serves as a compelling counterpoint to the current global trend of throw away fashion.

We loved the vintage inspiration of the Chemline collection, and it’s obvious odes to classic film noir cinema.  Check out some of the looks from the other featured designers below.

ISM Mode – Founded in Berlin, Germany, ISM Mode speaks beyond the notion of fashion as clothing (vintage jacket w/ bow)

Titania Inglis – The eponymous women’s wear line is a study in contrasts: minimal, yet lush, tough yet feminine, modern yet rooted in traditional hand work.

Lavuk  – blends classic silhouettes with forward styling to creating looks that are timeless yet contemporary. The collection is manufactured sweatshop free in LA using sustainable materials such as organic cotton, tencel, hemp and dead stock silks.
